Peter Pan
Peter Pan by Heartbreak Productions

"Heartbreak Productions announce a brand new adaptation of this world-famous story by JM Barrie about a mischievous little boy who literally will not grow up - Peter Pan, a fierce swordfighter, spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the island of Neverland as leader of the Lost Boys.

This outstanding story features some fantastical elements: Peter’s ability to fly, his best friend, the fairy named Tinker Bell and a source of both fear and humour, a crocodile that has swallowed a ticking clock who stalks the pirate leader, Captain Hook.

This thrilling adaptation from Heartbreak promises to be their most interactive show to date so be prepared to join in: if you always wanted to be one of the Lost Boys, you dreamt of being a pirate or you missed an opportunity to be Tiger Lily, this production is your chance! An unforgettable concoction of fantasy, magic, humour and sinister villains guarantees entertainment for all in this exciting family show. "When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies." (A performance donation of at least £50 a night will be made to Great Ormond Street Hospital). "

Treasure Island

Set in the days of sail ships and pirates, Treasure Island tells of the adventures of Jim Hawkins and his search for the buried treasure of the notorious pirate Captain Flint. In this new adaptation by Michael Whitmore the aim is to be faithful to the book whilst creating a lively action-packed show for all the family with live music.

Pirates really are the new big thing, and they’re here to stay!  From July until the end of August Long John Silver and his crew of salty old sea dogs are weighing anchor at open-air venues across the UK and Ireland in a brand new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale Treasure Island.

The play, adapted directly from the original swashbuckling novel, is performed by Quantum Theatre and promises wall to wall action as Jim Hawkins and his friends battle to recover the evil Captain Flint’s treasure before the pirates get there first.  Along the way we are promised high drama, swordfights, sea shanties and of course Long John’s parrot Cap’n Flint.

This is Quantum’s third outdoor season in the UK and the company is looking forward to bringing its summer tour to Ireland for the first time. Indeed, harnessing sixteen years of experience touring schools, theatres and open-air venues Quantum’s Treasure Island promises fantastic entertainment for pirate fans of all ages.

We welcome Quantum Theatre Group for the first time to the Walled Garden amphitheatre.
