Frequently asked questions

Do I have to buy tickets in advance?

No, however tickets for the plays are cheaper in advance. Tickets for the concerts are the same price in advance or on the gate, however we do expect these events to be popular so to avoid disappointment we do advise buying tickets in advance.

I want to bring a large group are there any discounts?

Yes we do offer generous group discounts, in advance only. Groups of 10-15 people receive a 10% discount, 16 or more receive a 20% discount. Under 5's are free but count towards the number qualifying for a discount.

What if I make a group booking but then want to add extra people?

This is not a problem, you may purchase extra tickets at the same discounted price.

What happens if it rains?

In the true spirit of outdoor theatre and concerts the shows will go on, see our wet weather policy

Should I bring anything to sit on?

You may bring a blanket, cushions, chairs, umbrellas in case of rain or shine, some warmer clothing for the evening performances as it can get chilly towards the end of the evening.

We do have a small number of plastic chairs availalbe, if you are in particular need of a chair and would find it difficult to bring your own chairs please contact us in advance and we will reserve a chair for you.

Can I park my car?

Yes all of our car parks are within easy walking distance of the Walled Garden. If you require disabled parking please tell one of our car parking attendants on arrival.

Shall I bring a picnic?

Yes you may bring picnics and drinks, no barbeques though please! You may also get tea, coffee and cakes from when the gates open to the end of the performance. The Orchard Tea Room will be open before each performance.

Please be aware that for the Supersonic Sunday concert only there will be no glass allowed into the Walled Garden. There will on this event be a real ale tent, food stalls and our usual tea, coffee and cake stand.

How late can I leave it until I buy my tickets?

We do appreciate that you may want to wait until you have an up to date weather forecast before you commit to buying your tickets (even though the forecasts often prove wrong - we have had many events where rain is forecast then we have beautiful sunshine). Provided there are tickets available you will be able to purchase advance price tickets for plays up to the day before online or midday on the day of the performance through the Trust office.

You have not covered my question, who shall I contact?

Please either phone 01923 852629 (the Shenley Park Trust office) or e-mail info@shenleypark.co.uk
