Paths around the

Orchard and Meadow

The grasses are allowed to grow up for the first half of the year with paths cut in..

In the Orchard there are numerous cowslips in springtime, closely followed by the apple blossom.

The Meadow is home to many wild flowers and grasses, see nature page.

Most of the apples from the Orchard are made into

Apple Juice by Shenley Park

Together with apples from other Orchards that the Trust manages, approximately 3000 bottles of Apple Juice are made each year.

This pure apple juice is sold through The Orchard Tea Room.

Both the Orchard and the Meadow date back to the times of the Mansion and the Orchard in particular was utilised by the Hospital.

For more information see the History of the Orchard and Meadow or read Information Board 1 which can be found in the Orchard.
