The Walled Garden is open all year Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm (except in extreme bad weather).
Summer opening
From Easter until the 30th September the Walled Garden is open on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from 12-5pm.
Sometimes the Garden is closed for private functions. The number of private functions are restricted to a certain number each year but are essential to provide income for the upkeep of the Garden. The Garden is usually closed on the day of a public event such as a concert or a play for setting up purposes.
A list of the closure dates are below but these are subject to change. There is also a list displayed on the notice board outside of the Orchard Tea Room. If you particularly wanted to visit the Garden on a set date it is advisable to check with the Park Office before hand.

There is always a member of staff on duty to help with any enquiries and to ensure the Garden is not mis-treated in any way.
