Shenley Park is now a 45 acre rural Park for the public. At one time it was the site of a Mental Hospital and prior to that it was a private estate known as Porters Park.

Of the original Porters Park Estate the Mansion and Buttery are still in existence but are privately owned. The Stable Flats, Coach House, Dairy, North Garage, Greenhouses and Walled Garden also remain and are managed by Shenley Park Trust. All of these buildings mentioned were utilised by Shenley Hospital.

Shenley Hospital was built all around the Mansion, those buildings remaining are the Water Tower, Orchard Villa and The Old Chapel.
